Done-For-You
Player Development

The Player Development Framework gives you a session for every stage of a player's development. The one thing it cannot do is stand next to you on a Sunday and answer your questions. So every week for 18 weeks, I will. I walk you through that week's session, what to coach, what to look for, and how to flex it for the players and kit you actually have, before you run it.

First, what the Player Development Framework is

Most youth coaching now runs on disconnected training plans. You download a session, tweak a few drills, and hope it fits your players. But nothing connects one week to the next, and you have no real way of knowing if the players are actually learning. Learning is not automatic. It is a battle against forgetting, and random drills do not win that battle.

The Player Development Framework is the 360TFT coaching system I have built over 15 years, from grassroots to professional. It replaces guesswork with clarity: what to teach, when to teach it, and how to make it stick. Clearly defined stages set out exactly what a player should be able to do, technically and tactically, at each phase, so you build confidence and competence together and never expose a weakness without giving the player the tools to fix it.

The full framework spans five stages of a player's development, from Master the Ball through to Master the Performance. This cohort runs the three core youth stages, Master the Ball (1 to 11), Master the Opponent (7 to 12), and Master the Game (12 to 18), delivered as progressive 16-week blocks that link training to real match performance. The framework tells you what to coach and when. This cohort is where I help you actually deliver it, week by week.

The 360TFT Player Development Framework: five overlapping stages mapped to player age from 0 to 21, Master the Ball, Master the Opponent, Master the Game, Master the Position and Master the Performance.

The framework gives you the sessions.
This gives you the coach behind them.

The most common thing I hear about the Player Development Framework is that the sessions are excellent, but it is hard to get help when you actually need it. You are prepping on a Thursday, numbers are down, you are not sure how a drill will land, and there is nobody to ask. This cohort closes that gap.

01

Walk in already knowing the session

Every Sunday I take that week's session apart on a live call. By the time you are on the grass, you have already seen how it should run and heard the why behind it.

02

Never get caught out by numbers or kit

Six players instead of twelve, no cones, a wet pitch. You learn how to flex each session before Tuesday, so you adapt on purpose instead of improvising in a panic.

03

Ask, and get a real answer

Post your question before the call and I answer it live, grouped with the coaches stuck on the same thing. Every call is recorded, so nothing is lost if you miss one.

Every Sunday, the week ahead made simple

No theory dump. Each call is built around the session you are about to coach. Here is the shape of a single week.

Sunday call · Master the Ball (1–11)
The session this week
Week 6 · Dribbling to beat a defender. 1v1s into a small-sided game. Seven players have turned up instead of twelve, and half the cones are missing.
What you walk in knowing
✓ The one coaching point that matters this week
✓ What good looks like, and the two mistakes to expect
✓ How to run it with 7 players, not 12
✓ The no-cones version, set up in 30 seconds
✓ The question to ask the players, not the answer to give

One Sunday call. Three age stages. 18 weeks.

Every Sunday, 6:00 to 7:50pm UK (1pm US Eastern, 10am US Pacific). One seat gets you all three calls, so come to whichever fit your teams. Each stage is 15 minutes walking through the session, then 15 minutes of your questions. Every call is recorded and in your classroom within 24 hours.

01

Master the Ball, ages 1–11

The foundation phase. Comfort and mastery of the ball before anything else.

6:00–6:30pm UK
02

Master the Opponent, ages 7–12

Playing against someone. Beating a defender, keeping the ball under pressure, making decisions.

6:40–7:10pm UK
03

Master the Game, ages 12–18

The full game. Roles, units, game understanding, and preparing players for senior football.

7:20–7:50pm UK
Master the Ball stage, ages 0 to 11: develop both feet, turns and skills, juggling, dribbling, passing and control, finishing.
Master the Ball · Sun 6:00–6:30pm UK
Master the Opponent stage, ages 7 to 12: receiving under pressure, passing detail, small-sided play 1v1 to 4v4, beating the goalkeeper, movement.
Master the Opponent · Sun 6:40–7:10pm UK
Master the Game stage, ages 12 to 18: in-possession principles, out-of-possession principles, transition principles, patterns of play.
Master the Game · Sun 7:20–7:50pm UK

Week 1 is your onboarding and orientation. Weeks 2 to 17 work through the full 16-week curriculum, one week at a time, in order. Week 18 is the wrap-up. The cohort starts Sunday 7 June 2026 and finishes Sunday 4 October 2026.

For coaches who want the framework,
and the coach behind it.

[→]

Grassroots and youth coaches

You have the sessions, but you want someone to walk you through them before you stand in front of the kids on a wet Tuesday night.

[→]

Academy coaches

You work across age stages and want a consistent development picture from the youngest through to the 18s, explained by someone coaching at that level right now.

[→]

Coaches juggling more than one team

One seat gets you all three calls. Dip into Master the Ball one week and Master the Game the next, whatever your actual week looks like.

[→]

Coaches who bought the framework and stalled

You started, life got busy, and it drifted. A live Sunday rhythm and a room of other coaches is what carries you all the way to week 18.

What changes by the Tuesday after each call

Not someday. The session you coach that week is the session we worked through together on the Sunday.

01

Walk in prepared

You have seen the session run and heard the why. No more winging it on the touchline.

02

Adapt without panic

Wrong numbers, missing kit, wet pitch. You already have the flexed version ready to go.

03

Coach the picture

You know what to look for and the question to ask, not just the drill to set up.

04

Get unstuck

Your specific problem, answered live on the call, not left sitting in a comment thread.

05

Build the library

Eighteen weeks of recordings you keep, to revisit any session, any age stage, any time.

I built the Player Development Framework out of 15 years coaching across grassroots, academy and senior football in Scotland. I am currently assistant manager at Hamilton Academical Women, who won SWPL 2 in 2024/25.

This cohort is the framework with me added back in. Every session we work through is one I have coached or am coaching right now. You get the reasoning, the adaptations, and the honest version of what works and what does not.

Frequently asked

What if I cannot make a Sunday call?
The recording lands in your classroom within 24 hours. Post your question in the cohort thread beforehand and I answer it live on the call, so you get your specific answer even when you watch back. About half the value sits in the recordings and the Q&A, so live attendance is a bonus, not a requirement.
Do I have to come to all three calls?
No. One seat gets you all three. Come to whichever fit the ages you coach, and change it week to week. Master the Ball is 1 to 11, Master the Opponent is 7 to 12, Master the Game is 12 to 18.
When does it start and how long does it run?
Sunday 7 June 2026, then every Sunday at 6pm UK for 18 weeks, finishing 4 October. Week 1 is your onboarding, weeks 2 to 17 work through the 16-week curriculum, and week 18 is the wrap-up.
What does it cost?
Nothing on top of VIP. Coaching Academy VIP membership is $29 a month or $99 a year, and the cohort is included for VIP members. Seats are capped at 36 to keep the Q&A workable.
How do I claim a seat?
You need to be a VIP member of the Coaching Academy. Comment IN on the cohort post and you are in, first come first served. Not VIP yet? Join VIP, then comment IN. The first 36 comments take the seats.
Is this the same as the Player Development Framework?
The framework is the sessions, on demand, in the classroom. This cohort is the live layer on top: every Sunday I walk you through that week's session and answer your questions, and you keep every recording. The framework tells you what to coach. This shows you how, and answers what happens when it does not go to plan.
