Session Focus
Playing With Others: 1-2s and Short Combinations
This week is all about playing with others. The focus is on 1-2s, short combinations, and how to move and pass under light pressure.
For 1–6s, we use simple support and follow-up movements that build the habit of not stopping after a pass. For 7–11s, we’re layering in decision-making: When do you play the wall pass? Where do you go after you give it?
The objective isn’t perfect patterns — it’s habits that help players stay active, connected, and aware during possession.
Structure & Flow of Session
1. Ball Mastery Warm-Up (10 mins)
Age 1-6: Basic passing exercises with movement Age 7-11: More complex combination patterns with increased tempo
2. Contextual Game Scenario (15 mins)
Age 1-6: Simple support and follow-up movements Age 7-11: 1-2 combinations with decision-making
3. Small Sided Game (15 mins)

4. Match-Related Play (15–20 mins)

Why This Structure Works
- Repetition of simple combinations builds awareness and movement
- Gives players quick decisions to make with support
- Prepares them for pressure without scripting every step
