Module: Master The Opponent: 7-12 Years Old Classroom: Use The 360TFT Game Model Original Location: https://www.skool.com/coachingacademy/classroom/62d426ee
Session Focus
Using Disguise
Helping players deceive opponents to create space, time, and new options. This week focuses on teaching players how to hide their true intentions - whether dribbling, passing, or shooting. Players will learn how to “sell” one action before delivering another, forcing defenders into mistakes. Every activity connects to real game moments where individual creativity is the difference-maker.
Building technical ability and tactical awareness to mislead opponents through dribble, pass, and shot fakes.
Structure & Flow of Session
1. Ball Mastery Warm-Up (10 mins)
Reactions Rondo
High-tempo rondo where defenders drop a bib when they win the ball or force an error. The player who lost the ball becomes the new defender, ensuring continuous rotation and awareness.
- Focus on disguised passes and dribbles
- Starting with a goalkeeper
- Focus on deception to beat opponents or play forward safely under pressure
Coach Prompts:
- “Can you fake one way and go another?”
- “How can you use your body to deceive?”
- “When is the right moment to disguise?”
2. Contextual Game Scenario (15 mins)
Using Disguise
Players escape pressure using disguised passes and dribbles, starting with a goalkeeper. Focus on deception to beat opponents or play forward safely under pressure.
- Player receives and must use disguise to beat defender
- Realistic game scenarios with recovery runs

Coach Prompts:
- “What did the defender expect you to do?”
- “How did your body sell the fake?”
- “When do you commit to the disguise?”
3. Small Sided Game (15 mins)
4v4+2 Disguise Goals
4v4+2 SSG with two goals per team. Players use support and deception to disguise shots or passes into either goal.
- Teams can score in any of their two goals
- Encourages quick decision-making and adaptability

Coach Prompts:
- “Can you disguise which goal you’re shooting at?”
- “How can you use your teammate’s run as a decoy?”
- “When did the defender commit too early?”
4. Match-Related Play (15-20 mins)
3v3 Free Play - Use What You’ve Learned
Free play format encouraging experimentation with disguise. Minimal constraints so players can apply skills in open play.
