Currently we are being very conservative when we play - the full backs aren’t really given much license to get forward (we need to teach the other defenders to tuck in and shuffle over first), so we get our width from the forwards. One will peel out wide and receive a ball from a full-back and will drive towards the box, the other forward will be in the box and the attacking midfielder is there to crash into the box for follow ups.The four at the back have really help… See more1Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • Oct 11@Ross Whitehead great detail that mate, really interesting thanks. 🙏🏻To ease the full backs into a more forward mentality (after your confident in the defensive support behind) it might be a good idea to just encourage them to get into the opponents half to support the play, that way they’re not over committing and getting comfortable higher up the pitch1Reply
