Christian Garcia • Sep 18@Ross Whitehead I honestly think it was my instructions it confused them but could be the level also ? they’re U17 boys they should be capable of doing a possession based drill with one time pressing and the other supporting and we transition from box to box but like you said ill need to take a step back and figure it out better to try it again another time. thanks Ross !!1Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • Sep 19Things go wrong for all coaches all the time @Christian Garcia - at all levels! Experience gives you more tools in the toolbox to adapt, but adapting is fine! Listening to the players when they offer suggestions is also fine.Reflection is really important in coaching and that’s what you’re doing. Don’t worry about being perfect, it rarely will be. And sometimes allowing it to fall apart is worthwhile as well, football is a problem solving game and allowing the players to do that is good. Then step in correct a few things and allow them to problem solves again. 👍🏻1Reply
