Ross Whitehead🔥 • 14dBiggest win for me was from last season at 7s. I was taking charge of a game because our old head coach was unavailable. The team had beaten us 4-2 the last time out going on 10. I made some radical selection and formation changes. We were winning 3-0 at HT but it ended up 3-3 after they scored a worldie of a free-kick with the last kick.4Reply

I changed it to 3-2-1.The big changes were in team selection.Our GK had told me that he didn’t want to do it anymore, so I swapped him into defence.Our big CB went in goals (his Dad shouted at me before the game about it, but later apologised as his son loves being GK now).I put our CM in at CB as he would always go forward, but never come ba… See more2Reply

Nicolas Andrews-Gauvain • 14dFor me having to rebuild the team after the previous manager dumped the team a month before the start of season we completed the 1st season & then at the end of the second season (last season) won the league fair play award. The kids might not have won many games that season but they got decent medals; a trophy and I get a certificate as a permanent reminder….7Reply

Like goalkeeper Julian Pollersbeck, who tested my nerves quite a bit during his three years of development, but who gave me my greatest success with his U21 European Championship title. Because I was constantly teasing him. And he thanked me for it on the night of the final after winning the title ;-)6Reply

Trevor Charlie • 14dI’ve got a few. Sorry couldn’t narrow it to one! Like Stephen, Its a huge win to still be going from U8’s until now at U15’s. Although there have been a few that have come and gone I’ve still got a core group of boys among my 17 who are becoming young men and I’m very proud to be part of their journey.At U12 it was coaching the boys to a 4-3 win, coming back from 3-0 down at half time and the winner scored on the last kick of the game. This year getting a girl in my boys U15 team to the last 30 girls in the country and competing to get into the national team for an international game in june between girls from the likes of Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV.
