Ross Whitehead🔥 • Sep 15For this one, I’d base my demonstration on low-driven crosses, since at my age group heading is frowned upon. I’d setup cones on the wings to give the players a reference point (when you’re in this general zone, this is a good time to lift your head and cross to your team-mate). You could then progress this on to getting to the by-line and cutting the ball back. When they’re old enough I’d introduce the lofted pass and explain that they can be hit from deep as well as in advanced areas.1Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • Sep 15@Ross Whitehead Like it Ross - playing devils advocate… lofted crosses can be vollied, the opposition can’t head the ball either so a precise cross into the box could cause confusion in the opposition and be vollied home1Reply

Ross Whitehead🔥 • Sep 15@Jamie Birch Very true. Our kids can’t volley yet - but this would be a good opportunity to learn!1Reply
