Sounds like you and the guys did a great job.For breaking down a low block, understanding width and length is really importantly, normally we look to isolate horizontally so we can switch play but with a low block we need to pull them (bait them) vertically to find space in between the lines. Sounds like it was a success.Low blocks can be difficult to breakdown but with patience and clever movement, it can be done.Jamie is 100% correct in what he says about separating lines vertically. Passing the ball backwards is a way to do that.I’ve attached a (bad!) video example of this but you can see that the Maroon team are set in a block.
