Ross Whitehead🔥 • 9dI love debates like this because it’s all opinion. How good would Eusebio, Pele, Cruyff, Maradona, Di Stefano, Best, Puskas, Sindelar etc have been in the modern era (better facilities, training, footwear, nutrition & lifestyle)? We’ll never know. It’s hard to see anyone else coming through and being so good for so long. No-one could have predicted that Messi and Ronaldo would have been, and a lot of it comes down to a bit of luck with injuries.2Reply

I was firmly in the Ronaldo camp for a long time as a United fan, but the last few years I’ve switched to Messi. The longevity of both has been insane. Remember when Neymar was supposed to knock them off their perch? Never happened and he never lived up to expectations. Brazilian Ronaldo would have a much stronger argument it weren’t for injuries.1Reply
