Kevin Middletonâđ„ âą Oct 20Hi Ross, Iâm off on a tangent now but hereâs a video to show your players so they can visualise what it looks like before they practice itNote the striker makes his run after:Non-Verbal Communication (pointing and eye contact)As it is non-verbal, he can only run once the midfielder has his head upBlindside movement alwaysSessions plans in next comment0:292Reply

Sean Ancheta ⹠Oct 21I use an American football field lay out to help my players learn to make through balls. Most of my players almost intuitively know how to play American football. I just need them to learn how to make passes to the end zone with their feet instead of their hands. To score the striker must be receive and control the ball in the end zone. You can make the end zone as big as you need. This gets players looking downfield and finding the strikers, it gets them to look at the space behind the backline ⊠See more3Reply

Ross Whiteheadđ„ âą Oct 21 (edited)@Sean Ancheta Coincidentally, last night at my daughterâs training, the coaches were working on this concept, and they had marked out end zones for the girls to pass & receive into, and they seemed to be getting it. I think they had to play a certain number of passes before playing the through ball and making the run.3Reply
