Jamie Birch🔥 • 23dMake them fun, maybe tee up some principles that you’re going to be looking at for the new season but no pressure to land them brilliantly just an idea of this is how we’re going to be showing up and playing next season. Kevin has talked about kids vs parents matches which is a good way to finish the season. But i would say lots of fun and good feeling to finish the season on a positive note. Then MAKE SURE you have a mental break from football, tough to do but have a complete break yourself for a period of time (not in here 🤣) , these are really good reflection times.2Reply

We’re on a mini-break at the moment due to school exams and it looks like we’re going to follow a similar format. Are there no teams you can arrange friendlies with or do you not think the kids/parents will be interested? In terms of your training, I’d probably just make them fun. Have 3v3 tournaments or something like that to keep it competitive.2Reply

Kevin Middleton⭐🔥 • 22dBrian, are you going to have the same players next season? If so, I would suggest that you do some of these:
- Set pieces (so you just need to refresher next season)
- Small Sided Games competitions to send them into the break happy
- Lots of pressing exercises to get that mentality into them
- Or another principle you want to refer to in the new season instead of starting fresh with it

Kevin Middleton⭐🔥 • 22d@Brian Willis For me, it depends how you want to end the season. Bit of football fun or starting to embed a principle ahead of the new season, or work on something like set pieces without having to worry too much about them next year.Even at u12, you can start to discuss some of the principles of set pieces2Reply
