Memorize them, then you’re good to go. 🤣Seriously though, just keep asking their names if you forget, you’ll get them eventually. We had a new kid come down in the summer we thought he was called Jayden, turns out his name was Blake. We only found out when we spoke to his mum at the end 🙈2Reply

So, I started to take photos of the group before sessionsWhen I got home, I would put the names I knew to faces, and did that for a few weeks until I knew them all. And after a few weeks, it would all start to click.I know that photos might be a dodgy thing these days because of permission (I collected permission up front) but that was my way to do it.3Reply

Perhaps taking 5 minutes of practice and kicking the ball around in a circle and have players call out the person they are passing it to. It seems elementary but if there is no name repetition it will be hard to memorize their names. Along with repetition find an association and the more specific the better. Ex. Johnny wears the yellow Nike Vapor 15s or Lucas the brazilian samba dribbler.3Reply

While a agree regarding “playing” with them, you could engage in the technical warmup with them or serve as a Target and have the kids say their name as they deliver or receive a ball.3Reply

Steve Miles • 7d@Kevin Middleton Yes but it’s slow. I want to be able to rock up next week and know them all. It’s what the kids deserve. It kind of feels like I don’t really care about them which obviously is not true2Reply
