Gino Adolf • Jul 19Back Post : As we can see the defense covers most of the front post, cut back and middle area of the box leaving space for a back post cross. The player receiving the ball at the back post would there for have a shooting option towards the back post or take another touch towards the line for a low drive cross towards the penalty area for a tap4Reply

Kevin Middleton⭐🔥 • Jul 19@Michael Cloonan Good level of detail in your breakdownThe player on the ball is delivering the cross at the point this image was taken so only has the choices available in the frame.I am questioning the positioning of number 14 in this phase of attack though.1Reply

Michael Cloonan • Jul 19 (edited)@Kevin Middleton Yeah of course I see that, i was questioning the position of 14 and wondering what a great option he could be if he turned up on the blind side of the 22‘I went in to full on coaching mode and coaching the picture’ haha2Reply

Steve Miles • Jul 19Middle, for the 2 players that are goal side of their markers - but I would want the ball bent in behind the defensive line between the goalkeeper and the Centre Backs, along the 6 yard line, hard enough to stop the GK coming to claim and easier for the reds to attack - this type of delivery will also mean any mis touch by a retreating defender could end up as an own goal.2Reply

Kevin Middleton⭐🔥 • Jul 19@Steve Miles Do you think the blue LB is blocking that pass and if it was made, it would be too close to the GK?I think the LB and GK have got their positioning spot on to prevent that, but interested to get your opinion, Steve.2Reply

Stephen Kavanagh • Jul 22Being old fashioned I’d put it in the mixer from there, the cut back is on, but I’m not sure the red players on the edge of the box are showing signs of reacting to it and Blue #7 is lurking if it is turned over.1Reply
