Stephen Kavanagh • Jul 22Just found this - am working out how to adapt the ideas for our 1-4-3-3. In particular encouraging our striker to set for the midfielders in the half-space or play wide/in behind full backs for wingers. Thinking cap on. Moment: Building the attack; Slice: Middle Third; Situation: breaking the defensive line using movement of #8, #10 and #9.2Reply

Stephen Kavanagh • Jul 22I’ve got a very simple one involving a full back and a #8/10 and a winger, I can see how adding a #9 and introducing more variations would work. Maybe a game where balls crossed from and/or to specific areas are worth more. e.g. An cross from a player overlapping a winger is a point and a goal from it worth another 2. Maybe something like that.2Reply

Kevin Middleton⭐🔥 • Jul 23 (edited)@Stephen Kavanagh You probably want to encourage overloads and rotations in that space so maybe have a neutral in the space initially so there is always an overload (and teams will naturally want to exploit that). Then you can progress to zones in the final 3rd, and only one player from the attacking team can enter a zone at any one time. You then progress that to more than one attacking player can go into those key zones, but only for 4 or 5 seconds, and then they have to rotate out.Something li… See more2Reply
