Jamie Birch🔥 • Aug 2@Stephen Kavanagh enjoy those weekends while you have them! I’m in a similar boat, I’m just coaching at the moment, no teams at the weekend. Not sure what to do with myself 😂1Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • Aug 2@Kevin Middleton for those that don’t speak Scottish I’ll translate for Kevin. A Munro is a mountain. Does anyone need an experience coach? I think he’ll snap your hand off0Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • Aug 2@Chris Unruh sounds a busy weekend mate! Would love to see some pictures. What sort of things do you have planned for both days? Must be close to a 100 people you’re coaching over the weekend then?0Reply

Chris Unruh • Aug 2I get to take the head coaching hat off for a change. My club has brought in two members of SC Braga and they’re leading the drills, myself and another helping out- so as it stands I’m on the outside for plans. Which is nice for a change and will be an equal opportunity for me to learn. You’re right I think they’re expecting about 50 a session through all the age categories at my club. We have 24 teams and around 330 players from U9-18.1Reply

Chris Unruh • Aug 2And we have had so many wildfires in province that we’re actually having to head indoors. Since May I would Estimate 1/5 to 1/4 outdoor sessions has been cancelled due to air quality. Last week every single day. We’re hovering around a 7-10 on a daily basis. 10Is where I literally feels like you’re at a camp fire nearby and smoke is everywhere. Maybe once or twice a year we would get above 3 naturally it’s been absolutely horrible. So we’re fully indoors this weekend1Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • Aug 2@Chris Unruh I can’t even comprehend that being from the UK, worse we get is some light drizzle and maybe a moderate breeze 😂 fair play for keeping the sessions going1Reply

Chris Unruh • Aug 2@Jamie Birch I think it’s at the point actually where they’re saying being outside for a few hours gives you the equivalent smoke inhalation to having a couple cigarettes. So senior men’s leagues players are saving some money at halftime but it’s effecting the whole population on a daily basis.I’ll let you know how the sessions go1Reply

I liked reading it, some positives, some negatives, but everyone learned something today, I think.I learned that not only football boots cause blisters.@Steve Miles I’ve been there after a defeat and it’s the most annoying thing in the world. I know it’s difficult, but try and detach yourself from the result. Hopefully, you’ve got yourself a nice glass of wine and you’re able to just reflect on the day.2Reply

Ross Whitehead🔥 • Aug 5I missed this on Saturday. We had our first 9-a-side friendly of the season. We only had 1 sub. We started brightly, but then one our our kids (my son) got wiped out after about 10 minutes and had to be carried off. We scored from the resulting free-kick. The opposition equalised through our usual backing off instead of attacking the ball at a corner. But we managed to take the lead again just before HT. In the 2nd half, the lack of subs, the long dry grass and general rustiness got the better o… See more2Reply

Kevin Middleton⭐🔥 • Aug 5@Ross Whitehead Sounds like it was a good learning opportunity for the squad, Ross 👏. A bit of adversity, and you still competed. That’s a good sign for the squad and a good sign for the players.Kids are so resilient, aren’t they?2Reply
