LCB should pull further out wide and you play him the ball once defender has to make achoice between you and him. He should choose engaging you or it’s a free pass. Support in the space for a bounce pass back approx where LCB currently is, LB should make a run to pull his man away and then you hit the LM diagonally on a rather easy ball2Reply

Gavin Reid • Sep 7Similar to what the other guys have said, if the Red LB & CB make those runs, CDM can switch direct to the LM, or pass wide to LCB then on to the LM, depending on the position the black Striker takes upAnother option may be for the CAM to drop in deep and pick the ball up in that half space to play to LM, but they would then have ground to make up getting into the box.2Reply

There is more than one way to skin the cat, and there are no right or wrong answers.Just because it happens one way in the clip doesn’t mean your suggestion wouldn’t work.My analysis on Playing diagonals (over and around) to a dangerous wide player:1 - The attacking team need to have numbers through the middle so the opponent adjusts to have superiority there, leaving the wide areas 1v1.2 - Need to move the block away from … See more0:242Reply
