Brian Willis • 26dI don’t have anything specific since I’ve coached 9v9 and 7v7 for so long now, but off the top of my head I’d work a bounce pass in the build up somewhere to open things up a bit.2Reply

Kevin Middleton⭐🔥 • 26d@Brian Willis Rotations, rotations, and more rotations.Up, back, and through to entice defenders and open up space ahead of the ball. Also, a good 1v1 player destroys any man marking system. Top teams will usually go 2v1 against good players, which leaves a free player elsewhere3Reply

Sean Ancheta • 26d@Oliver Tormety Haven’t had a team who’s pressed man to man. I agree with @Kevin Middleton with regard to rotations. What age group are we talking about?2Reply

Kevin Middleton⭐🔥 • 26d@Sean Ancheta Spoke about this with a coach the other night…. encouraging players not to play in straight lines is a massive thing you can do to help them.As an example:If one comes short, one goes long. If the one who comes short doesn’t get the ball, they need to spin and support if the ball is passed beyond them, who can start to come shortBoth movements will help beat a man-to-man press2Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • 26dAgree with get your best 1v1 players on the ball, get them to beat a player and that will draw the next defender to create an overload.1Reply
