Nicolas Andrews-Gauvain • 11dGames for both my son & daughter this morning but then football free Sunday (booo) thanks to the rain & Wolves Women playing Friday night.My daughter’s team last in the County Cup QF on pen’s - frustrating one by all accounts as my daughter’s team were 3-0 up and switched off…. Lesson learnt but it’s their first season as a team….My son’s team came up against top of the League (they should be in a higher division) - technically very good & punished our mistakes but we kept going more or less… See more5Reply

Nicolas Andrews-Gauvain • 8d@Jamie Birch first game of the league season was PP due to the other team not being able to host; then a team pulled out of the league and then we had County Cup (& League Cup for opposition causing a PP) so our first League game was a month after everyone else.We are meant to have a rejig at Xmas once everyone has played everyone once….. However now that’s not going to happen till February….. 🤷🤦 Going to make finishing the league in early May difficult….2Reply

Steve Miles • 10d (edited)@Jamie Birch I had quite a major health issue a couple of years ago which meant I stopped all football activity, and eventually had to give up my regular day job, Luckily I was able to get surgery which gave me my life back, and I decided that having been given a 2nd chance, I would do as much football as I could, while I could. Anthony Kelly • 9dMy weekend was one made up of two very different types of games! My son (U16) played on Saturday morning, lovely pitch, good game which they won 3-1. I had to film him for his GCSE P.E coursework. Then I took Evergreen 1st team in the constant rain on let’s just say a very poor pitch that only just passed inspection! The game was not so much football but who can keep their balance the longest..!! We lost 4-3.4Reply

At least your son got some decent footage!I had a very similar game last season, we turned up to what can only be described as a freshly ploughed field. Tried to play out from the back for about 10 mins then just went with what we had been given and put it into the channels for the rest of the game 🤣2Reply
