The girls’ side and the Saturday team are both going really well. One has only been running three months and is already mid-table, and the other I’ve managed to turn around. But it’s my K… See more1Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • Sep 21@Sean Hayden Sean thanks for sharing, don’t be embarrassed at all. Lots of us will have gone through similar (or worse) experiences through the years. This is what the community is for! There’s a lot to digest there and you’re probably feeling overwhelmed because you’re trying to solve everything all in one go. What would you say are the 3 biggest problems that you would like to solve / get advice on right now?I think breaking it down into smaller chunks, and putting some realistic expectations a… See more0Reply

Kevin Middleton⭐🔥 • Sep 23@Sean Hayden hi Sean, nice to meet you. I’m Kevin, Jamie and I run this community and I want to thank you for sharing some great feedback with us.Took guts to write all that mate, and I can only imagine what the whole squad has been through and it sounds like a football has been an escape for some of the players and yourself.I don’t want to contradict any advice or dismiss your own thoughts so I’ll just say what I would do.I’d start by getting the players together and asking them why they play f… See more0Reply

- Really I guess for the first time im having trouble really lifting the players and getting them to believe. I think I need a way to try and put a bit of joy back in there. And get them all pushing in the same direction 2. My unrealistic parents, the level we play at is really hard I need good commmitment from all in terms of bringing them to practice etc, so many of them are unhappy if their kids is subbed etc a couple of lads i believe are really struggling playing both days a way to broach t… See more

Jamie Birch🔥 • Sep 23Thanks Sean,
- Do you have your principles of play committed to paper and to the team. If you want people to pull in the same direction they all need to be aligned on what “good” looks like for you as a coach. You might explain to them that despite a bad result, if our football looks like we planned in our principles, that is success for their development at this age and stage. I’ve added a link below on what principles of play are and how to define them.
