Jamie Birch🔥 • 26d@Brian Willis from what I’ve read in the last few weeks you sound like you’re doing a great job. What do you mean specifically by communication? How you communicate with players? When?1Reply

Brian Willis • 26d@Jamie Birch I need to work on being more concise with my communication and I need to work on when to communicate with my players.1Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • 26d@Ross Whitehead planning that far in front is rarely a luxury that a grassroots coach has, don’t be too hard on yourself.Do you mean planning in the sense of session planning? Player development?1Reply

Now it is giving specific feedback to players and using video clips to help them understand and see what I’m drawing their attention to. Only for those that volunteered though - it is a lot of work. Also, developing my tactical understanding to help the team.2Reply

Trevor Charlie • 24dManaging my own emotions is a big one. I find very hard to keep them in check when player attentions wander or messing around starts. At 14-15 years old I expect a bit focus, listening and serious application to the task.Another is my ability to coach technical practices like passing patterns or match play specifics like a routine etc.1Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • 24d@Trevor Charlie handling your emotions is a big one, and a tough one to get right. Your players will feed off your energy so being able to control and use it wisely is key.0Reply

Jamie Birch🔥 • 24d@Lee Elwood Hi Lee,U8’s - that’s u8’s 😂 I would recommend lots of small sided games, 3v3 etcFor the u15’s, I’d recommend in your own time checking out the game model in the classroom. It’s age and stage appropriate learning, takes you through all the core principles for your age group and a 16 week training plan to relive to address the above. I’ve added the link below for easehttps://www.skool.com/coachingacademy/classroom/62d426ee?md=7931cc4ae08f448bb375339e0faffa7a1Reply
