A session plan can look impressive and still miss the point
When a tutor or assessor may be watching, it is tempting to add more detail, more activities and more interventions. The better starting point is simpler: understand the current brief, know the players in front of you and decide what useful learning should look like.
Start with one clear objective
Connect your association's brief to the needs of your players, then build the session around that purpose.
Choose how you will intervene
Use direct instruction, guided discovery and player-centred approaches deliberately, rather than trying to display everything at once.
Notice, adapt and record
Prepare alternatives, respond to what happens and capture your own evidence of what worked and what needs to change.
